Mini Trek around the Farm (any Camelid or Donkey welcome)       10.30am

Lunch (Bring a picnic or buy from the cafe)                                   12 noon

Fun Classes                                                                                 14.00

(Such as obstacle race, bending race, sack race, apple and spoon race - handler and animal together.  Possibly Camelids verses Donkeys!

BCCS Conference

As I am sure you are aware, the number of camelids in the UK, particularly alpacas, has increased rapidly in the last few years.

This means that vets who have little experience of dealing with these animals are frequently asked to attend. Please pass on these details if you think your vet might be interested.

The BVCS is always happy to offer help or advice and the membership fee is deliberately kept as low as possible (currently £20/year, including conference proceedings and access to the e-mail discussion group) to encourage all vets or students to join.

Felt Making Workshop - Saturday 2 February 2008

There is to be a Felt day workshop held at Wetherby Town Hall, West Yorkshire on Saturday 2 February 2008. The course is from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

 

Jenny Pepper, a member of the International Feltmakers Association (www.jennypepper.com), will be running the course and she has a soft spot for alpacas.

 

She plans to cover the basic principles of felt making and create a useable finished item, for example a bag. She provides all the equipment required on the day including printed notes to take…
